Why? Warehouse-style wine retailers, with their vast selections and good values, are readers' favorites by far, and the bargain-basement pricing at Empire Wine helped it clobber Exit 9 Wine and Liquor, earning almost 50 percent more votes in 2010 vs. last year's win by the slimmest of margins.
