Goldschmidt Vyd 'Katherine' Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
(4)
VINTAGE NOTES: Another exceptional vintage in Alexander Valley with outstanding color and flavor development. Ripe, black fruit characters and great concentration. A warm, relatively dry spring through April and May produced very even flowering and fruit set. We were a little worried in midsummer

Throw A Steak on the Grill and Drink This! Wonderfully purple in color, this Cabernet comes from Alexander Valley in Sonoma. On the nose there is a ton of black and red fruit that all comes together with a subtle background of oak that brings some spice to the table. A little tight on the palate initially, give this a little time to breathe and the flavors get more complex by the sip. Rich texture with good acidity and a very lengthy finish. Great choice for your next cook out! — Peter

Just in time for spring! This 2015 La Cana Albariño will surprise you from start to finish. The perfect balance of acid and fruit in this unoaked dry white makes it a great pairing for the upcoming warm weather. Strong aromas of melon and lemon open up to stone fruit and wet gravel on the palate, makes this wine a perfect pairing with Thai food, chicken, or a seafood dinner. — Matt

Bright & Beautiful This Southern Rhône rosé glimmers in the glass with a light rose-gold complexion. Overly ripe strawberries and blossoming flowers excite the nose, suggesting spring highlights. Tart berries and lustrous citrus deliver with the balance of an acrobat. Radiant and refreshing. Pairs well with sun, grilled meats or vegetables, and fresh fruit. — Eric

Conreria d'Scala Dei - Black Slate 'La Morera' Blanc 2015

91  Wine Advocate
Wine Advocate 91 "The custom cuvée for American importer Eric Solomon, the 2015 Black Slate La Morera is a blend of Garnacha Blanca with 5% Pedro Ximenez from the village of La Morera de Monstsant. The irony here is that the young vines used for this wine are planted on limestone soils rather than

Kept me going back for another glass This is a beautifully structured wine that was balanced and easy drinking. Bright stone fruits are present but never dominating the palate. The nose is alluringly floral and finishes off with a hint of minerality. This is an easy win for dinner and shouldn't be passed up. — Mike

Potel Aviron Fleurie Vieilles Vignes 2010

"The grapes are from parcels of 50 year old vines located on sandy granitic soils. The cru villages of Beaujolais are generally on rocky, granitic soil and are classified as such because of the grape’s natural affinity to the soil type. Rather than using the carbonic maceration technique that

simple elegance This wine from Fleurie, one of the most popular crus in Beaujolais is delightful. Hints of lavender and other herbs on the nose. Bright ripe fruit and a hint of vanilla on the pallette, with a lighter style, but still quite a bit of heft. Pair this elegant wine with roast chicken, or maybe braised veal. — Tim
