"The 2009 Barahonda Tinto is 100% Monastrell aged in stainless steel. Purple-colored, it offers up an enticing bouquet of mineral, earth notes, lavender, incense, blueberry, and plum. More structured than the Carro cuvee, on the palate it has excellent volume, savory black and blue fruit flavors, plenty of spice, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. It, too, is a super value for drinking over the next 4-5 years."

"Made from 100% Monastrell grape variety, with a maximum maceration temperature for a period of 18 days. Selected from our best vineyards, this wine shows mature fruit aromas in nose. On palate is well balanced and full-bodied, with a persistence and good final taste. Fruity, freshly and lively due to its good acidity level, with pleasant and powerful tannins.
