Napa Valley California
Connoisseurs Guide to Wine 92
"If never less than fully ripe, this big, dense, deeply fruited effort does not cross the line into heavy-handed excess and instead is governed by a wealth of well-defined blackberry fruit. It is filled out with lots of creamy oak sweetness and exhibits a fine sense of balance, and the scant bit of heat that shows at the finish is made moot by service with richer foods. It is tasty and accessible now, but should hold up well in the cellar and continue to grow for several years."
