Rhone Report 90
"A beautiful, very Provencal Rose thats an even split of Grenache and Cinsault, the 2011 Cuvee Prestige Rose is incredibly light in color, with only hints of pink and salmon showing. Nevertheless, its certainly not light on flavor and possesses loads of sweet red cherries, red currant, and rose petal that carry into a medium-bodied, racy wine that has excellent fruit, a light, clean texture, and a saline, mineral slant on the finish. Enjoy bottles over the coming year."

International Wine Report 90
"The Chateau Puech-Haut Coteaux du Languedoc Saint-Drezery Rose is really pretty and fresh with notes of cherries and strawberry with banana peel, floral, stony minerals, and some grapefruit. This has vibrant acidy and a rich texture. Everything finishes up really clean and crisp. A great Rose."

"Chateau Puech Haut occupies 170 hectares including 100 hectares of vines in Saint-Drezery, a small village 15 km northeast of Montpellier, in the foothills of the Cevennes and belongs to the AOC Coteause du Langedoc. In Provence, a 'Puech' means a small hill (or mountain), a 'Puech Haut' is a hill higher than the others. This position, 'on a hill higher than the others', is conducive to exceptional drainage for the vineyards. The clay and limestone soil is composed of boulders brought by the Rhone in the Quaternary and its plots reside on hillsides protected from excessive temperatures by the nearby Mediterranean Sea and winds including the Mistral, the north wine pervasive in the region."
