Loire White
The Loire Valley wine region includes the French wine regions situated along the Loire River from the Muscadet region near the city of Nantes on the Atlantic coast to the region of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé just southeast of the city of Orléans in north central France. The white wines of the Coteaux du Layon, Montlouis-sur-Loire, Savennières, and Vouvray are based on Chenin blanc and are known for their high acidity when young and ability to develop and age well. The villages of Sancerre and Pouilly-sur-Loire are known for their crisp and herbaceous Sauvignon blancs. ~wikipedia
N. Joly Coulee de Serrant Sauvennieres 200796 Wine Enthusiast
Wine Enthusiast 96"It is not easy to describe one of the majestic wines of France. This 2007 is still a wine in the making. All the elements are there: the intensity of dry fruits, the richness of spice and white fruit jams, opulent and austere at the same time. It is an extraordinary wine, with

Chat de la Chesnaie Muscadet Sur Lie 201290 Robert Parker
Robert Parker 90"The 2009 Chateau de la Chesnaie Muscadet de Sevre et Maine Sur Lie smells unusually for its appellation of winter pear, pumpkin, and pineapple, tinged with and hints of sea breeze. Atypically lush in texture for this cuvee - not to mention luscious - it reminds me slightly of a
