"The 2005 Montebaco is 100% Tempranillo sourced from 30- to 40-year-old vineyards and was aged for 15 months in a mix of new and used French and American oak. Deep crimson-colored, it offers an alluring bouquet of cedar, pencil lead, scorched earth, black cherry, and blackberry. This leads to a medium to full-bodied, layered, seamless wine with excellent depth and enough structure to evolve for another 1-2 years. This lengthy wine can be enjoyed now and over the next 8 years."
