"The dark ruby/purple-tinged 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals sweet creme de cassis notes interwoven with notions of smoke, toast, licorice, and loamy soil. In the mouth, the wine is full-bodied, with pure fruit, a multilayered mouthfeel, and an elegant, velvety finish. It should drink well for 10-15 years.
This high-class operation boasts Paul Hobbs as its consulting winemaker. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes primarily from the Stagecoach Vineyard in the eastern hills of Oakville, just below the famed Pritchard Hill."
