"Dont know what AG was drinking, but this wine is not a 96 pointer. I had two bottles and based on my taste buds this is good, but I can think of other Chianti Classico in the same price range that are better (eg, Castellin Villa and Felsina come to mind)."

"Tasted this along with my benchmark Chianti Classico, the Castellin Villa current vintage, 2018. The Ama has more red-fruit accents and A LOT more acidity and tannins up front. The Castellin Villa is smoother and with darker fruit. I liked it, but Castellin Villa wins again."

"This is a fun wine to drink. Nose packed with red fruit, strawberry especially, and pepper. It makes you think its going to be sweet but its dry. Nice acidity, fresh, and tasty (almost salty). Im not an expert of Lambrusco, but this so far is the best that Ive had."

"Compared to Felsina and Castellin Villa, it is not quite as powerful or smooth. It has lots of stuffing to go with the tannins. I think this is in line with the warm vintage. Lots of aging potential. Aromas of plums and herbs."

"This is an interesting wine. The smell is very sweet, almost like a sweet sparkling wine. Candied fruit, blueberry jam, dried peaches. But its bone dry. I guess this is why Ian DAgata described this (Ruche) as an aromatic red varietal. The acidity makes it a good food companion."
