QPR TEMPRANILLO

"Fruity, medium bodied, early drinker. An everyday, nice, & accessible Tempranillo."

FRUITY, MODERN RED

"This is no old world wine. Technically clean, very fruit driven (but not over the top) medium bodied wine showing red berries, red currants with modest dark cherries based in a bit of strawberry jam. Very showy color. Think modern styled CDR ramped up a bit. Great price point, a fine value."

THIS IS A BARGAIN

"The Parker's comments are on score...really a wine that tastes far beyond its price. BUT this may be dry for the appellation, but this is not a dry wine. More demi-sec. Perfect summer fare, perfect party fare. Amazing value here with wide appeal."

BRILLIANT BOTTLE OF WINE

"There comes a point where a 2nd wine stands on its own. Gorgeous in the nose. Dark cherries, black currants, a bit of spice, nice mouthfeel, & lengthy finish. Bordeaux prices keep going up. This is something of a QPR."

AN EVERYDAY RED...

"A clean, well crafted wine at a fair price. The "fine depth and balance" WS comment seems misplaced. This is no block buster but its price reflects that. Good value wine."

A GOOD QPR CDP

"A great vintage. This is a very pleasant, medium bodied, modern CDP that showcases bright cherry notes and is accessible early. I don't get WS' "fleshy" comment though this is a bit fruit forward. At this price point don't expect too much depth, but overall it is very balanced and very agreeable."

TREMENDOUS VALUE

"'05 is a brilliant overall Bordeaux vintage but is so so for Sauternes, except for Guiraud. A very good, classic representation of the appellation and a finely crafted wine. This vintage can drink now and can hold for a couple of decades. This bottle represents a serious QPR. Big thumbs up."

SOLID RIOJA

"Very serviceable, solid Rioja. Dark fruit, not too oaky. Medium bodied. Solid finish. Happiest with food...a good QPR but not a long term hold...drink for today."

POP AND POUR

"A very fine example of a mature Rioja. In a nice drinking window and should stay there for (a) decade(s). Dark cherries, leather and tobacco. Big but not overpowering. A tremendous value."

MODERN BUT GRACEFUL...QUALITY QPR

"This is modern but not over extracted. Bigger dark fruits, with interesting hints of herbs and minerals. Simple and straight forward but interesting like a Hemmingway novel (Okay, an H novel would get more stars). I was surprised and pleased by its balance. Very good QPR."

A VERY NICE QPR

"Gorgeous nose, medium bodied white fruit, flowers, balanced acidity, hint of butter and a bit of minerality, short finish. Not complex but pleasant, a great QPR."

MODERN BUT STILL CHINON

"This is a bit fruit forward for me but a very solid QPR and a well crafted wine. Its a Chinon - its made with Cabernet Franc. The WS notes are right on target although the score seems too high."

A WINE THAT LOVES EVERYDAY PASTA

"This is a solid, drinkable wine to serve with everyday pasta fare. Its a QPR wine that is well constructed but not very complex with lots of competition at this price point."

A QPR POUILLY-FUISSE?

"This wine represents quite a value. Balanced acidity with white and yellow peaches and a hint of granite. No overwhelming vanilla here. Very solid wine that I would recommend and a great value."

ELEGANT, BALANCED BANDOL-LIKE.

"Parker says Bandol-like and I agree. Gorgeous color, lovely nose, great acidity, touches of raspberry, nice length. Perfect warm weather fare. The cork is a re-insertable glass topper which I like better than a screw cap but, for me is not a cork...I like corks. Still, it works well with this fun bottle of wine."

A VERY SOLID QPR CDR!

"Dark berries, medium bodied, and a slight minerality all resulting in a very nice, modern CDR. Would buy again and recommend."

AN OUTSTANDING QPR

"Parker gave the '09 93 points and the '10 89 points. I like this wine better than the '09 and have made this is our house Bordeaux. Drinking early but with the legs to age. The Neal Martin review is dead on except I think this can age. If drinking early (IMHO before 2017) I'd decant an hour or two. Worth twice the price."
