Calluna Vineyards 'CVC' Chalk Hill 2012 image

"After a little air, this is a really beautiful wine with a gorgeous nose of creamy chocolate and crushed black fruit. Like the trophy wines of Bordeaux's famous Right Bank, the blend is prominently Merlot backed up by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. This shows phenomenal balance. Clay and mocha notes complement a seamless palate of dark berries, ripe plum, and subtle savory herbs. Medium in body, this velvety red is extremely versatile at the dinner table. An imminently drinkable wine."

Domaine Lafage Tessellae 'Old Vines' 2013 image

"A bold blend from Southern France that entices with aromas of blueberry pie, singed herbs, and dark cherries. Silky smooth in the mouth, despite its full character, this rich wine is easy to drink. Definitely a treat for lovers of fruit forward Rhone blend reds."

Eve's Cidery 'Darling Creek' Sparkling NV image

"New York's cider producers have been on a roll and Eve's is one that really stands out. The Darling Creek is made using the Champagne method. It has beautiful notes of dried apples, baking spice and honey."

Gini 'La Frosca' Soave Classico 2012 image

"This is a stunning white. Focused with an energetic acidity that holds together the delicious and refreshing flavor profile. Notes of pear juice, apple blossom, and salted nuts make for a brilliant companion to a variety of dishes. Made from 100% old vine Garganega, this is a crisp and savory treat."

Chateau La Grange Clinet Grande Reserve 2012 image

""This is a full bodied, bargain priced Bordeaux. Notes of pure black and red fruits are framed by a creamy, oaky element. A smoky, herbal character adds complexity to this red wine value.""

Domaine de Terrebrune Bandol Rose 2013 image

"Next to Tempier, this is one of the best ros├ęs out there. A brilliant elixer with notes of blood orange, peach nectar, and fresh berries. The background minerality is delightfully savory. It finishes with a touch of salt. Don't miss this near perfect pink from Bandol."

Rijckaert Cotes du Jura les Sarres Savagnin 2009 image

"Although eccentric and geeky Savagnin provides a fantastic vinous experience. Cooked pear, white peach, and herbal scents fill the air around this medium-bodied beauty. In the mouth, notes of chalk dusted lemon rind, green apple, walnuts, sea water, and peach juice move kaleidoscopically across the tongue. Its slightly oxidative quality is kept lively by an invigorating acidity. Previous vintages of this wine have received rave reviews from Robert Parker and Pierre Rovani. The 2007 vintage was an official selection for the London Olympics."

Sebastopol Oaks Russian River Pinot Noir 2012 image
Posted Apr 8, 2015

"Sebastopol Oaks' 2012 Pinot Noir showcases everything great about Russian River Valley reds. This is light and elegant with notes of cedar, red fruit, and spring flowers on the nose. Flavors of strawberry preserves, fresh cherries, and plum sauce lead into a well balanced, mineral and herb tinged finish. A spectacular value in high quality Pinot Noir."
