JIM, MAY I BE PUT ON YOUR XMAS LIST?!"I love this wine! Have tried several vintages, and this one checks all the. boxes. Not looking for an alcohol bomb (15% and up in my book) that many modern wineries are releasing of late, a modest 14%. The pepper and garique give it a rustic old world quality, while the fruit is in perfect balance with tannins. Just can't say enough about this wine. It's inexpensive, good for every day, and you get more than your money's worth here! So, Jim, you can send your leftovers to me, an undeserving deplorable, at...."

WOWZA!"I first tried an Aglianicio in the small town of San Denato Val de Comino and loved it. Of course, we have all tried wines on vacation, as we have fallen in love with the pigeons and rain--which we would most certainly curse at home. A bit of rose-colored-glasses syndrome. So in seeking out this variety once at home, I was expecting to find an Aglianico (couldn't find exact one) that was just a woken-up version of a dream, so my expectations posed quite a demand on the fine Empire staff. Zowie! Very dark purple, biting dryness of a Barolo, and lots of pepper and spice. So much complexity on the finish, which is where the fruit and leather emerge. Love it, what can I say? Could it mean that I wasn't in la-la land on my vacation? I would even go as far as to say the it surpassed the Aglianico that started this whole love affair. Thank you, Empire Wine!!"

STUNNING!"This wine is not only a great white Bordeaux in any price range, it is affordable and elegant. A surprise on the nose and a complexity that I've not experienced in a white wine. (And I'm usually a red wine drinker, so this really stands out!)"

WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING DIFFERENT."I liked this for what it was, but I was expecting something with a little more pepper and old leather, a little mustiness. It's possible that I didn't decant it long enough, but I'm sure that a lot of people will like this wine because it is a delicious wine that's true to its form."

LOVED IT!!!!"This wine DID stop the dinner conversation briefly. (Maybe the conversation was not compelling enough.) Seriously, this is a beautiful, balanced, old-style, spicy and very integrated wine that just shined right out of the bottle. Of course, some air made it that much better. Loved it!"
