Yes. Because we ship alcoholic beverages we are REQUIRED BY LAW to ship with Adult Signature Required. Any note saying "please leave on porch...in garage...at back door" will not be honored. Let us know if there is a best day for delivery. We cannot specify a time during the day that delivery will be attempted. UPS will not deliver on a Saturday or call you before arrival. Empire must be contacted about any problem with an order within 30 days of delivery. If you come across a corked or otherwise flawed bottle please re-cork the bottle. Do not discard the wine, we cannot accept returns for empty bottles. If you receive the wrong product or vintage in error please contact us right away at (877) 779-4631 or by emailing us via our contact page EmpireWine.com/ask. We will arrange for a pick up and, depending on the situation either reship or issue a refund. The recipient will be responsible for packaging and having the wine available for FedEx pickup or drop off. Empire Wine is not responsible to provide shipping supplies for returns, an empty box can be sent via common courier for $15.
In general, orders placed by 3pm Eastern Standard time will ship the same day. This is of course not guaranteed. It may take a few days for an order to be put together and for all products to be in stock. If you need to receive the wine by a specific date please include a note with your order in the "Special Instructions" box at checkout. Ground shipping is not guaranteed, please do not yell at us if the package is delayed in transit by the carrier.
Yes, simply select the In-Store Pickup option at checkout. Please allow 24-48 hours before coming to pick up your order. Not all of the products on the website are kept in our store location. Anything held or put aside must be paid for in advance. We need to ensure the accuracy of our inventory and that products are available to all paying customers. We do not "build" cases over time - each order is processed and billed individually.

When it is extremely hot or cold on the route between our location and the delivery address, Empire Wine advises customers to choose to have the order held in our temperature controlled facility until the weather is more favorable for shipping. 3 day or 1 day air options are also available, these delivery methods will help ensure that wine is not exposed to the weather for prolonged periods of time. Once an order is processed, picked, and ready shipment all cancellations will incur a 15% restocking fee. In addition, the buyer is responsible for all shipping fees for orders canceled after already in transit.
