About Auchentoshan
Founded by Irish refugees in 1825 on the outskirts of Glasgow, Auchentoshan is one of the last active distilleries in the Lowlands. In common with other Lowland (and Irish) whiskies, Auchentoshan malt whisky is distilled three times (as opposed to most Scottish malt whisky, which is distilled twice). This triple-distillation has the effect of softening the flavour and body of the end product.

"A great improvement from mass market Scotch like Dewars or Jonnywalker red or black. I am no expert for sure, but the price is great and over the pandemic I tried it and loved it. I urge anyone who likes scotch but doesn't want to pay big bucks; Give it to a try! I think you'll agree with me and be writing a review here to spread the word to others ,like I tried to do. Enjoy!"
