" The new Glen Grant 12 Year Old is one of three new Glen Grant expressions launched in June 2016, the new whisky is presented with a bronze label and tube which is part of the distillery's contemporary new look colour coded packaging allowing you identify each expression in the Glen Grant range. The Glen Grant 12 Year Old slots into the Glen Grant core range just above the existing 10 year old. It is bottled at 43 ABV.
Nose: Pear and some distant orange, some sweet vanilla toffee.
Taste: Gently tangy, apple, pear, distant orange, mild barley sugar sweetness, a little spiciness, some creamy caramel.
Finish: This light malt has a refined medium length finish with some gentle fruit, spice and a little oak

About Glen Grant Distillery
James Grant, 'The Major,' inherited a distillery from his father in 1872 when he was only 25. At that time, many distilleries in Speyside were producing heavy, oily styles of malt whisky. Major Grant's mission was to create a "single malt as it should be." He thus applied his unconventional and forward thinking vision to the design of the innovative tall slender pot stills and unique purifiers to create a light, delicate single malt Scotch whisky. The spirit is matured in a mixture of ex-American bourbon barrels and ex Oloroso sherry butts to create a seductively fruity and rich flavor that makes Glen Grant one of the most approachable single malt Scotch whiskies in the world. Glen Grant Single Malt Scotch Whiskies have garnered a Double Gold from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Chairman's Trophy from the Ultimate Spirits Competition.
