Love My Islays
"To me this is initially "bitey" on the tongue and then evolves into a mild must of peat and smoke. In the middle, I get a caramel flavor that, if swirled on the palette, finishes a bit "minty". For the price, it's a very solid single malt "go to"."

"An acquired taste that's not for the faint of heart. Takes a bit of getting used to, as the first 1/2 bottle can be medicinal tasting to the uninitiated. Powerfully smoky, sweet, salty, and savory, all at the same time. Complex with a fantastically strong finish that's unparalleled at under $50. My absolute favorite when I can afford it. Best with a few drops of water or a single cube of ice to tone down the complexity. You can smell the smoke in the empty glass from 4 feet away a couple hours later. Fantastic Stuff !!"
