About Molinari
Original Molinari Sambuca a delicious licorice flavor thanks to the sweet, aromatic anise. Traditionalists may enjoy neat or on the rocks, while others like to serve it mixed. Created in 1945 by Angelo Molinari and now one of Italy's most celebrated masterpieces- a smooth, rich, full-bodied liqueur he proudly named Molinari Sambuca. Molinari Sambuca is the best selling liqueur in Italy and the most cherished Sambuca in the world. Molinari Sambuca is the only brand permitted by Italian law to use the term 'Extra' because of its extra quality. Molinari insist on 40% alcohol by volume, whereas most Sambuca are at 38% abv. This is not just for a better quality & taste, but also ignites better when flamed in the traditional manner

"There is no other sambucca which even comes close. I am guessing the ingredients are for the most part natural which gives this such a complex and enjoyable. At the price, it may be a bit of a splurge but nothing beats it."
