Mash bill of 75% corn, 15% rye, and 10% malted barley; all grain non-GMO and locally sourced
Aged a minimum of 3 years
Proofed using ground-fed, limestone-filtered Kentucky spring water
Non-chill filtered; 50.74% ABV

The Distillery
The name Pinhook comes from the old Kentucky term for buying baby thoroughbreds, holding them while they mature, and selling when they are ready to run. The brand pays tribute to the parallels between horse racing and bourbon, with bottles inspired by the bright colors and bold geometry of jockeys silks and each release dedicated to an up-and-coming thoroughbred, whose career collectors can follow.

Every year, Pinhook releases a new batch of bourbon & rye. The whiskey in each release is the best expression of Pinhooks barrels at that particular moment in time. Blends and proofs change batch to batch to best highlight that releases unique attributes. While it may be human nature to take comfort in consistency, Pinhook DOES NOT attempt to maintain or recreate the same flavor profile year after year; rather, they attempt to make the very best whiskey every single time.

The result is an annual vintage, as unique as the horses which appear on the labels. Labels were hand drawn by Noli Novak, long-time front cover illustrator for the Wall Street Journal.
Each release is a new expression that balances grain, fruit, spice, sweetness, and proof.
