Item Description

"The drink is a beautiful carmel color, very thick along the sides of the glass. The nose is an explosion of maple syrup, butterscotch, and butter. Something cloyingly sweet in the smell, but warm. After aerating it for close to five minutes, the nose calms a bit and one can discern aromas of clove and allspice. It is definitely a hot drink. At 100 proof, it warms the chest and tingles the tongue. All of the initial flavors in the nose are much more pronounced on the palate. " ~ Distillery notes

The Knot

The Knot"Bold, large font over an embossed Celtic knot. Directly above the label is a knot medallion and around the neck of the bottle is the Gaelic phrase, 'DRIOGTHA EIRE' roughly translated to mean 'distilled in Ireland'. The drink is a beautiful caramel color, very thick along the sides of the glass. The nose is an explosion of maple syrup, butterscotch, and butter. Something cloyingly sweet in the smell, but warm. After aerating it for close to five minutes, the nose calms a bit and one can discern aromas of clove and allspice. It is definitely a hot drink." --producer
Critics' Notes
"Delightful bouquet of butterscotch, hazelnut, old cigarette ashes, spices, fennel and honey. Entry is intensely herbal and semisweet; the midpalate is medicinal, a touch smoky, herbal and honeyed. Finishes with a notable honey taste and an end taste reminiscent of Drambuie. I like this flavored whiskey." --P.P, Wine Enthusiast Magazine
