Château Les Abeilles is a property owned by the Boidron family, owner of Château Corbin-Michotte Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. The Boidron's vineyards and properties stretches on 4 outstanding appellations of the Libourne wine district: Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Montagne Saint-Emilion, Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion, Pomerol. The whole is co-managed by Jean-Noël Boidron and his children Isabelle, Emmanuel and Hubert. The Boidron family members are winegrowers from 1760. From then, they have always been aware of the new technologies benefits, while fully respecting traditions and environment. Assuming that bees suffer for several years from the destruction of biodiversity, the Boidron family decided to respond with the Montagne and Saint-Georges Saint-Emilion Winegrowers' Association collective project called "Melliferous Vines". Winegrowers commit to sow studied flora for a better bees nutrition, between rows of vine and surrounding areas, giving rise to the name of the château "Les Abeilles"(The bees).
