Domaine des Coltabards is in a famous part of the Ménétréol area of the Loire Valley. The famed soils are Kimmeridgian and silex. After the grapes have been crushed a cold static settling takes place while the fermentation starts at low temperatures in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wines are then aged on their fine lees until bottling to preserve the freshness.
