This line is named after the small village of Capestrano located in the heart of the Abruzzo region, at the foot of the Gran Sasso Mountains. The surrounding area of Capestrano tauts a special microclimate with warm days and cold nights. The Montepulciano varietal has been cultivated in this area for ages, and is still an important part of the regional agricultural economy. Capestrano seeks to contribute to the economic growth and the cultural development of the area by enhancing the specific character of the local Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo. The line of affordable, accessible wines extends to Passerina, Verdicchio di Matelica and Rosso Piceno from Le Marche.
