Summer has officially begun which means it is time to really embrace my favorite style and the season's official drink: rosé! I drink pink all year 'round but as soon as the weather turns warmer I start stockpiling cases of my favorites. In the last six or so years, rosé has become one of the wine industry's fastest growing categories. Many folks are finding that rosé is a food friendly, value oriented replacement for either red or white wine. Demand for rosé in general is up so much that many shops, restaurants, and even wholesale distributors ran out of some of the most popular brands before Labor Day in recent years. Last year The New York Post sensationalized that rosé was "running dangerously low in the Hamptons."
