"Golden-tinged straw. Beeswax and white stone fruit on the perfumed, very floral nose. Vibrant acidity provides noteworthy clarity and cut to the apple, apricot and minty flavors. Finishes long and delicately peppery, with a welcome zingy citrus bite. Much fresher than the 2014 regular Pinot Blanc from Boxler; not surprisingly, this is 100 percent Pinot Blanc, made from 50-year-old vines planted in the Brand grand cru (in fact, in Europe this wine is sold as Pinot Blanc “B”, where the B stands for Brand). The vines actually grow in the Kirchberg portion of the Brand (when you stand in front of the grand cru, it is the westernmost portion of the site), a late-ripening site characterized by very poor topsoil with a granite substrate." ~ Ian D'Agata

"Sourced from the Brand, the 2014 Pinot Blanc Réserve (or B in France) has a clear and mineral bouquet of ripe seed fruits. Full-bodied and piquant on the palate this is a very elegant, well structured and stimulatingly salty Pinot with a lovely vital acidity and a straight character. Very elegant and expressive. From 45-years-old vines on shallow, decomposed granite soil where the roots go deep." ~ Stephan Reinhardt
