Wine Advocate 92
"The 2010 Monte Hiniesta has a similar bouquet to the 2011, which is no bad thing, though perhaps it has a little more clarity. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, succulent, fleshy tannins that are caressing in the mouth. There is plump, ripe red berry fruit, red currant, raspberry and a touch of balsamic at the finish. This is just as good as the succeeding vintage. Drink 2014-2019.
Monte Hiniesta is a joint venture between Liberalia Enologica (see separate entry) and Allegro con Spirito, the latter under the aegis of Beatriz Fernandez, the daughter of Juan Antonio Fernandez. The vineyards were acquired between 1996 and 2000. These wines are very reasonably priced and represent consistent good quality."~Neal Martin
Great value wine
"My wife and I really enjoyed this wine with a strong flavored salmon dinner. It is very smooth and flavorful, not acidic and has nice subtle fruit flavors. Lovely stuff!"
