Bright, cheerful, vibrant, red fruit (but not heavy handed or dense) and simply the wine that every charcuterie board needs... In true Gemischter Satz fashion, this is a field blend that is co-harvested and co-fermented on the same day harvest occurs. Said to be a blend of Rotburger, Sankt Laurent, Blauburger, Merlot and a few white vines (probably planted unintentionally)
Give it a shake in the bottle before pouring (it's bottled with fine yeast straight from the tank) and serve chilled!
The wines of Jutta Ambrositsch is THE way to explore the terroir of Vienna. While her winemaking style can be called 'natural', and there's no additions of yeasts, enzymes, or sugars and just a tiny amount of SO2, none of her wines show any of that 'funk' that so often accompanies natty wines. Without those additions the fruit is allowed to shine and a vibrant, brightness threads throughout her entire lineup. Reference point wines for Vienna and all of Austria for that matter...
