"A real spice bomb, loaded with black cherry and caramel notes and jammy, appealingly complex huckleberry, toasty licorice and loamy sage flavors. Drink now through 2014. 2,750 cases made."

"The fruit profile opens with fresh blackberries and black cherry, followed by ripe raspberry jam. More subtle aromas of currants, licorice, black pepper and spice. Entry on the palate is a burst of berries, followed by spices and ripe fruit sweetness. The mid-palate is smooth and round with elegant tannins and a lush finish. This Dry Creek offering shows that Zinfandel can be sophisticated and elegant and gains complexity with pairing. As such, excellent food pairings include roasted duck, veal, and grilled salmon as well as pastas and subtle-flavored cheeses." ~ Winery notes
About Artezin Wines
NAPA VALLEY & NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
The Artezin winery of Napa California specializes in wine from the heritage grapes Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Carignan. Each of these wines is hand-crafted, with a light touch, allowing them to express their place of origin and true varietal characteristics.
Under Winemaker Randle Johnson, the Artezin winery has brought together and nourished growers, many of whom are multigenerational farmers who cultivate old, head-pruned, non-irrigated vines. These growers span three prominent regions of California: Mendocino, Sonoma and Amador
