DOMAINE DE BEAURENARD covers 32 ha of vineyard in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, grown with care by the COULON Family, vinegrowers in Chateauneuf du Pape for 7 generations. Fields of old vines which are between 60 and 100 years-old, planted in soils of great character and complexity, provide the grapes for this wine.

SOILS: Since 1695, Boisrenard is part of the heritage. A notarial act dated on December 16th, 1695 mentions « Bois Renard » which over time has become « Beaurenard ». For more than 50 years, we have been cultivating this vineyard in an environmentally friendly way.

VARIETALS: We find the symphony of 13 varieties of Châteauneuf du Pape, with a dominant aroma of grenache, and other red grapes varieties (syrah, mourvèdre, cinsault, counoise, muscardin, Vaccarese, terret noir) and white (grenache, roussane, clairette, bourboulenc, picpoul, picardan).

GRAPES HARVEST: The harvest is 100% manual, with selection of grapes. Each picker is given two buckets and, once the bunches are cut, separates the finest bunches from the damaged or immature grapes.

WINE PRODUCTION: The grapes are destemmed, slightly crushed and placed in a fermentating vat. These steps, combined with long vatting (26 to 31 days), gently extract the maximum amount of phenolic constituents, tannins, anthocyans and resveratrol which give the wine its structure and colour and also have health-promoting properties.(Yield are low : 15 à 20 hl/Ha).

AGEING: The ageing during 18 months in oak-barrels ensures a good clarification and roundness of the tannins and so of harmony and balance of the wine before bottling, without filtration, with care at the Estate.

TASTING NOTES: Eye: Deep and bright purple color with ruby highlights. Nose: Deep and sophisticated nose. Very flavoured, the flower notes of rose and violette bring elegance. Taste: Complex with wild red fruits. Smooth and coated tannins. Deep wine with a long finish.
