James Suckling 92
"Orange blossom, nectarines, daffodils and clementine. Medium to full body, a really attractive, oily texture and a textured, succulent finish."
"The 2017 Chardonnay (Napa Valley) is a very pretty wine from Beringer. Citrus, floral and lightly tropical notes are very nicely delineated. The blend of three sites works well here. Although the 2017 is already quite open, it also has a good bit of freshness and structure from vinification in a mix of oak and steel along with partially blocked malolactic fermentation."
" Beringer’s Napa Valley Chardonnay is a vibrant, contemporary version of this much loved varietal, crafted to serve well as an aperitif on its own or as a faithful companion to a wide variety of foods and menus. Carefully selected lots from several of Napa’s coolest growing regions are blended to offer a wonderful expression of Napa Valley. Surprisingly plush and creamy, aromas and flavors of tart citrus lead with hints of white pear, delicious apple and a bit of lemon meringue and toasted almonds. Balanced, with moderate acidity, the brightness of the Chardonnay fruit shines through. " ~ Winery notes
