The Riesling vines from Great Western produce flavoursome, elegantly structured, spectacularly age-worthy Rieslings which stand confidently alongside some of the most outstanding Australian examples of the variety. In recent times, the style has evolved to match the Continental climatic conditions to a beautifully balanced wine with texture and aromatics.

The Estate
Founded in 1866, Bests has been making wine in the Grampians region of Victoria, Australia for over 150 years, making it one of the oldest family wineries in the country and possessing some of the worlds oldest vines on own roots (Shiraz planted 1867 and Pinot Meunier planted 1868). Formerly known as the Great Western region, The Grampians lay at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, where the region benefits from altitude and abundant sunshine days but suffers low rainfall. Bests are particularly hailed for their Riesling, which ages wonderfully.
