Bibbiano

View all from Bibbiano
BibbianoFounded in 1865, Bibbiano is located in the historic Chianti region in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti. Owners, Tommaso and Federico Marrocchesi Marzi, are fifth generation proprietors of this 25 hectare family estate. The estate has been certified organic since 2011 and is committed to making terroir driven wines only from indigenous varietals. Tommaso Marrocchesi Marzi is a leading voice in the push to establish village appellations in Chianti Classico and the new Gran Selezione category, which requires wines labeled as such to be made exclusively from estate fruit and bottled at the origin. Tenuta di Bibbiano is also known for the longest standing consultancy of famed winemaker Giulio Gambelli, who also has long relationships with Montevertine and Case Basse di Soldera.
