"A dense and very rich red with blueberry, sliced mushroom and earth character. Full body, yet tight and reserved. Gorgeous to drink now but will improve in the next few years."
Wine Spectator 90
"This bursts with fresh, pure-tasting flavors of raspberry, blackberry and roasted plum, supported by firm acidity and tannins. Notes of slate and black pepper show midpalate, with a finish that offers dark chocolate accents. Drink now through 2020."

The winery itself is in an amazing location. The wines are fantastic and their Torrentes is one of the best we tried in Argentina. We had a lovely lunch and then the tasting and James Turrell Museum - an absolute must do.
The tasting is the only thing that has stopped me from giving Colome top marks. I am a wine tourist and the tasting is on the lean side. People who drive here are not your average wine drinker so to have a high price tag to taste a few wines after such a long trip was a bit unexpected. Most people will buy the wine, but not if you don't let them taste it or charge a very high tasting fee. There are many other equally good producers who are a bit more generous so this is possibly something to work on for Colome.
Overall however, I am more than pleased I came here - it was an overall adventure and experience, both getting there and experiencing the facilities.
The gem in the middle of no where.
