Item Description
James Suckling 94
“This is an impressive Gran Reserva. It opens with cinnamon, five spice, iodine, vanilla, resin, elderberries, cherry liqueur, blackberries and black raspberries. The palate is plush, full-bodied and very concentrated, but there’s enough depth of field to the tannins to take on the immense, dark-fruit flavors. Some cutting acidity drives this home.”
by James Suckling, JS, 2019.

HISTORY
Bodegas LAN's honesty is embodied in our wines since the winery's foundation in 1972.
Bodegas LAN is full of meaning. The name itself is an acronym based on the initials of each of the three provinces that form the D.O.Ca. Rioja: Logroño (currently part of La Rioja), Alava and Navarra.
LAN is Rioja in three letters. Each of our wines shows respect for the land it comes from.
LAN means respect for the history of this land.
