The history of the DO Rueda is irremediably linked to the Verdejo variety and precisely Bodegas Naia decided to settle in 2002 in La Seca, in the heart of Rueda, with the purpose of getting the most out of the original clone of the Verdejo.
La Seca is a town whose municipal area is mostly planted with vineyards and where the exceptional climate and soil conditions and the imposing old vines make it the perfect enclave to make some of the best white wines in the world.
From the beginning, Bodegas Naia has based its work on a selection of old strains of the native Verdejo, planted in glass and has always tried to get wines with the authenticity that gives a rigorous work in the vineyard. Precisely the vineyard becomes the fundamental piece in the elaboration of the wines of Bodegas Naia.
