Wine Advocate 92
"The light and easy-to-drink Bobal red 2017 Clos Lojen is a fruit-driven and fresh wine fermented with 100% full clusters in open-top 4,500-liter oak vats with indigenous yeasts and matured in 10,000- and 15,000-liter oak vats for seven months. They started harvesting these grapes the 26th or 27th of August. Even if this is quite fruit-driven, especially when young, the soil is always an important component. This feels very harmonious and, compared with the 2018 I tasted next to it, shows how one year in bottle does wonders to this bottling. It's a light and harmonious red with 12.5% alcohol in a warm year in the Mediterranean. This has more structure than you'd think, and it's serious enough to develop in bottle. Great value."
