About Calluna Vineyards
The goal for Calluna Vineyards is to make wines which have the strength of great Bordeaux, but with the attributes of Sonoma terroir. This means that the wines are meant to have the intensity, balance and longevity inherent in Bordeaux wines, but they should have an additional richness and roundness which is typical of the best Napa and Sonoma wines.

EMPIRE STAFF REVIEW
Cool Climate California Bordeaux Blend
"After a little air, this is a really beautiful wine with a gorgeous nose of creamy chocolate and crushed black fruit. Like the trophy wines of Bordeaux's famous Right Bank, the blend is prominently Merlot backed up by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. This shows phenomenal balance. Clay and mocha notes complement a seamless palate of dark berries, ripe plum, and subtle savory herbs. Medium in body, this velvety red is extremely versatile at the dinner table. An imminently drinkable wine."
