"Deep ruby red color. The bouquet on the nose is intense, clean and pleasant with fresh aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plum and violet followed by more complex notes of walnut-husk and some spices. On the palate it is well-balanced with agreeable tannins, good body and intense flavors. Ideal with flavorful pastas, pizzas, mature cheeses, grills and roasts, mushrooms(white and black truffles)."~Winery Notes

Capestrano Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2013

"This is what I would call a light red wine, similar in finish to maybe a Pinot Noir or a Sangiovese. It's somewhat fruity, without being sweet. I don't know much about pairing wines with food. As far as I'm concerned...this wine is perfect for any situation, with food or without! And it's a bargain at this price!"
