"The white grape Passerina is very widespread in central Italy. Dry white wine with good structure and excellent aromatic intensity such as mature fruits, yellow flowers and hints of spice. Pleasantly dry and full. Passerina pairs well with a variety of dishes such as light appetizers, cold cuts, mild cheeses and fish courses." ~ Winery notes
CapestranoView all from Capestrano
This line is named after the small village of Capestrano located in the heart of the Abruzzo region, at the foot of the Gran Sasso Mountains. The surrounding area of Capestrano tauts a special microclimate with warm days and cold nights. The Montepulciano varietal has been cultivated in this area for ages, and is still an important part of the regional agricultural economy. Capestrano seeks to contribute to the economic growth and the cultural development of the area by enhancing the specific character of the local Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo. The line of affordable, accessible wines extends to Passerina, Verdicchio di Matelica and Rosso Piceno from Le Marche.
