" Brilliant ruby, lively red berry and Asian spice aromas are deepened by notes of mocha and licorice. Taut and linear on entry, then fleshier in the middle, offering fresh raspberry and cherry compote flavors and a touch of succulent herbs. Shows very good energy and focus, finishing with lingering spiciness and a note of tangy berry skin. " ~ Winery notes

Celler Can BlauCellers Can Blau, founded in 2003, is one of the oldest projects of the Gil Family in Jumilla. Placed in El Molar, in the D.O. Montsant, this winery is the most diverse project regarding the grape varieties and the type of soils. The D.O. Montsant is nowadays releasing at its best the enological quality of its wines. Differently from its illustrious adjacent D.O. Priorato, in D.O. Montsant we work with unique varieties such as Cariñena or Mazuelo and Grenache, planted in and adapted to different types of soils. Nuria López Sarroca is the person in charge of the technical direction of the Winery.

I wouldn't buy it again.

"I bought this wine because I heard it recommended on NPR and because of its rating by one of the well known reviewers. I did not find it very appealing myself. I don't know all the correct terminolgy, so I would say I found it somewhat astringent or bitter. It's not a wine I will be buying again."
