James Suckling 92-93
This is a big wine with lots of blackberry and blueberry character and hints of walnuts. Its medium-bodied with a juicy finish. Balanced.
Wine Advocate 91-93
Opaque purple-black colored, the 2019 Bellegrave (Pauillac) sashays out of the glass with alluring scents of crushed raspberries, kirsch and fresh blackcurrants plus hints of dried mint, incense, cloves and cedar chest with a touch of lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with fresh, crunchy black fruits, framed by firm, grainy tannins and loads of freshness, finishing long and lively. Nice!
Wine Enthusiast 89-91
This small estate has produced a wine that is already open and soft. The wine's black currant flavors are bright, coming easily out of the tannins. It is a wine that will age easily and gracefully.
