James Suckling 90
"A fruity and juicy red with currant, cherry and plum character and a hint of cedar and rust. Full to medium body, ripe tannins and a flavorful finish."
Wine Advocate 86
"Composed of 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Bordeaux Superieur has a spicy red cherries and mulberries nose with touches of pencil lead, herbs and a waft of garrigue. The medium-bodied mouth is soft with chewy tannins and good density, finishing with an herbal lift."
Wine Enthusiast 86
"This ripe smoky wine has fine tannins and plenty of red-berry fruits. With its acidity, dusty texture and crisp aftertaste, it is not made for long aging."
"The 2015 Château Croix-Mouton from Jean-Philippe Janoueix (La Confession, La Croix St. Georges, etc.) is a rock-solid effort, and at 15 bucks is a terrific deal. From Lugon-et-the Ile-du-Carnay, not far from Fronsac, and made from mostly Merlot (there’s a splash of Cabernet Franc), it checks in at over 14% alcohol and offers terrific notes of ripe black cherries, smoked meats, licorice, and cedar. Rounded, supple and beautifully textured, with ripe tannin, it’s a delicious effort and a terrific little Bordeaux Superior to drink over the coming 3-5 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (11/2017)

Château Croix Mouton
Croix Mouton produces wines intended for pleasure, and excellent while still young. Almost entirely Merlot driven, they are full bodied and rich in flavour, easy to drink but with finesse and a stunning display of fresh red fruit on the palate. After the release of its first vintage, Château Croix Mouton was very quickly recognised by Bordeaux wine experts as being excellent value for money. The 'M' on Château Croix Mouton's label is special. It changes shape and colour each year to reflect the personality of each vintage.
