"Chateau Haut Courey is located in the village of Avensan, just minutes west of Margaux, in the Haut-Medoc, which is home to five Grands Crus Classes. It is a small family estate that has been in the Blanc family for six generations. They produce this single wine, Haut-Medoc Bordeaux Rouge.
In this southern district of Bordeaux, sits Margaux, where the soils are gravely and thin, forcing the vines' roots to dig deep, producing fruit that yields delicate wines that are perfumed and silky in texture.
At the helm sits proprietor/winemaker Yves Blanc, who oversees this 18ha estate of vines that average 45 in years. A sustainable grower, he uses only indigenous yeasts in the cellar."~Winery Notes
