The color is a garnet, intense and shiny. The first nose opens with notes of black cherry, black fruit, ripe, then leaves appear at the bustle of the slightly spicy and roasted aromas. All is warm and good intensity. On the palate, the attack is round and powerful, then a beautiful tannic structure invades the Palace in the middle of the mouth. The roundness and the power balance is a very good outfit. The whole is aromatic with notes of dark fruit (cherry) and then grilled in the finish. The finish is a nice length. The whole is young but already greedy, foreshadowing a guard in 10 years time. ~winery notes

Chateau Haut VigneauSituated in the commune of Martillac, this 20-hectares property once belonged to Baron de Montesquieu.

Today, the estate is owned by Mr. Eric Perrin who set up a vast land clearing and plantation programme in the 1980s, rejuvenating this vineyard from the ground up.

The Perrin family also owns the famous Château Carbonnieux.

Because of its special localisation, its terroir and the choices of winemaking in the vineyard and the cellar, the Château haut-Vigneau plays between the greatest ones.

Blending:
Merlot : 60%
Cabernet-sauvignon : 40%
