"This 30-acre estate offers an excellent wine that demonstrates the balance between the ripeness of Merlot and the more restrained nature of the Cabernets. Add in the barrel aging, and the wine has both structure and elegance."

James Suckling 91
"A silky red with plum and cherry character. Medium to full body, sleek and fine tannins and a chewy finish."

"Formerly known as Moulins-Listrac, Chateau La Diligente was recently purchased and renamed by Franois Rudloff and his wife Monique Cheong. Their 2015 is a classy effort that has lots of red currants and cherry fruit characteristics as well as ample background spice, hints of oak, and forest floor. With medium bodied richness, beautiful purity of fruit, and impeccable balance, its a beautiful wine thats going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and drink nicely for a decade or more. More elegant and complex than powerful, this has real character and is worth seeking out."

70 Merlot, 20 Cabernet Franc, 5 Cabernet Sauvignon

Excellent Value

"We enjoyed this wine."

Wonderful Bargain

"Outstanding St. Emilion for the price. The quintessential Right Bank formula and taste: Merlot pre-dominate and balanced wonderfully with Cab. Sau. that moderates the fruitiness of this Appellation. I love the subtle quality Bordeaux 'buzz' that this wine offers and it is a literal delight on both nose/palate. Again, has the necessary complexity and lingering taste of a quality but reasonably priced St. Emilion. Disregard the 3-Star rating below!"

Chateau La Diligente

"Very balanced, ruby and garnet in appearance, slightly tart boysenberry forward, even velvety feel with lingering oak and loamy finish. Very nice!"
