"The highly drinkable 2017 Pour Ma Gueule mixes grapes from Maule and Itata, and in 2017, it's mostly Cinsault, with 9% País and 4% Syrah, which I think contributes to its drinkability. The nose is fantastic, expressive and floral and the palate fresh and vibrant, with contained alcohol and a nice mouthfeel. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2018." ~ LG

Sourced from multiple small vineyards from vines that average 65 years of age, grown in granite soils. Farmed lutte raisonée. After a 10-day cold soak, the wine was made in concrete; aged on the lees for 12 months and bottled lightly filtered.

Clos des Fous

Clos des Fous"Clos des Fous is about four friends – four crazy guys that have chosen to ignore the "experts" about where to plant vineyards and to trust their own instincts. The team is viticulturist Paco Leyton, winemaker Francois Massoc, terroir hunter Pedro Parra, and "bringer of wisdom" Albert Cussen. Clos des Fous, at his heart, is a project dedicated to finding extreme terroirs in Chile and then exploiting those to craft unique wines. They focus on minimal intervention viticulture and winemaking, with the goal of allowing the terroir to express its natural balance and spirit. They are inspired by the wines of Burgundy, where both Pedro and Francois trained."

Young wine

"We fell in love with the 2015 vintage. The 2017 is a different cat. Not sure if grapes changed or vintage but it had a taint not unlike some South African wines. We let it sit for a month and most recent bottle was better. More fruit. Still hopeful for this wine with additional time. We bought a case. Empire Wine service and shipping was excellent."

Smoky, dry, flavorful - but too smoky for me

"Reminds me of Virginia ham"
