Wine Advocate 96
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Kronos is bigger, richer and deeper than the straight bottling. Plums, black currants, cassis, tar and pencil shavings all come to life in this utterly vivid, large-scaled Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2009 Kronos is endowed with serious intensity, yet retains a pretty classic sense of structure. Violets, roses and flowers of all sorts wrap around the poised, beautifully articulated finish. This is a dazzling showing from Cathy Corison. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029." ~ AG
" The Kronos Vineyard is distinctive for the intensity of its dark, brooding plum, cassis, and blackberry flavors, floral notes in the nose and a wonderful broad, silky feel in the mouth. Kronos has been vineyard designated since 1996. Annual production is about 400cs." ~ Winery notes

Cathy Corison produces a limited quantity of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, hand-crafted without compromise from some of the finest vineyards in the Napa Valley. They are all located along the western benchland centered around Rutherford where deep, stony alluvial soils promote the ideal growing conditions for the Cabernet vine. These vines regularly produce some of the most concentrated and superbly ripened fruit anywhere.
Many years of winemaking for others, including Chappellet Vineyard, Staglin Family Vineyard, York Creek Vineyards and Long Meadow Ranch, honed her skills and left her eager to express her own winemaking voice. In 1987 she made the first vintage of Corison Cabernet. "There was a wine inside me that needed to be made", she says. The harvest of 2011 marked Cathy's 25th vintage of Corison Cabernet!
