"A touch of reduction still plays on the nose, but the palate shows ample ripe pear notes on a dry, concentrated body. The fruit holds its own against lovely lemon brightness. A rich but taut wine that strikes a lovely balance and has drive and impact. The finish is long and dry."~AK
Domaine Emile BeyerView all from Domaine Emile Beyer
The Emile Beyer estate is historically located in the vineyard of Eguisheim. This centuries old family tradition dates back to 1580, when Martin Beyer was already working his vineyards in Eguisheim. Custodians of a viticultural past, but also rich in experiences in France and abroad, Emile Beyer is lucky today to be able to work 17 hectares on 80 parcels including two Grands Crus and three Lieux-dits. Even though Eguisheim is a mossaic of terroirs, the Emile Beyer plots are mainly located on the limestone slops.
Today, Christian Beyer, the 14th generation of the Beyer family with his wife Valerie, oversee and safeguard the destiny of the estate. Christian Beyer joined the family business after a solid training in oenology in Burgundy, supplemented by professional experiences at Château Riessec in Sauternes and Schloss Johannisberg in the Rheingau.
