Wine Spectator 95
"This is all about finesse, with the racy profile and silky texture setting the stage for cherry, bilberry and mineral flavors. Sleek and well-integrated at this stage, yet with dense, ripe tannins that need to be absorbed. Builds to a long, ethereal aftertaste. Best from 2019 through 2035. 65 cases imported.—B.S"
Allen Meadows 93-95
"Don't miss!* This is also quite floral with plenty of earth and assorted spice elements adding interest to the very fresh mix of both red and dark berry fruit scents. There is outstanding power and concentration to the broadshouldered flavors that possess a robust mouth feel and ample minerality, all wrapped in a moderately austere and hugely long finish. This is a big but balanced wine that is clearly built for longer-term cellaring. (1/2015)"
Vinous Media 93-95
"Bright, dark red. Captivating, vibrant nose melds cherry, wild spices, peony and fresh herbs, plus a suggestion of white peach. Delivers compelling sweetness on the palate but with strong minerality and firm acidity giving sharp focus to the chewy red fruit and complex soil flavors. From this wine's verve and high pitch I might have guessed that I was tasting Roumier's "white soil" parcel from the Chambolle side of his Bonnes-Mares holding but in fact he had already blended it with his parcel from redder soils on the Morey side. Wonderfully complete, palate-staining Bonnes-Mares with outstanding energy. (ST) (1/2015)"
Wine Advocate 91-93
"The 2013 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has very impressive intensity on the nose with blackberry, red plum and minerals – quite bold if not in possession of the finesse of other vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and loaded with a pastille-like purity - blackberry, touches of cassis, white pepper and citric touch toward the poised crystralline finish. This is very fine indeed, although not in the same league as last year's 2012. (NM) (12/2014)"

Light gamey nose. It’s all on the palate. Juicy but very unformed, almost raw, Extremely youthful. Lots of tannin but not that much in between the framework for the moment. (11/2014)"
Domaine Christophe RoumierView all from Domaine Christophe Roumier
" This is one of Burgundy's greatest domaines and Christophe Roumier is one of its most intelligent and knowledgeable winemakers. The combination of the two produces magic. "
In 1924 Georges Roumier, a man from the Charolais, married a local Chambolle-Musigny girl, Geneviève Quanquin and as was the custom at the time, she brought with her a dowry in the form of vineyards – so was born the Domaine Georges Roumier. Since that time the domaine has established itself as one of the finest estates in the world. Period. The fiercely intelligent and talented Christophe Roumier is in charge today, making wines that are simply the pinnacle of this ancient craft.
