Thrillingly concentrated and fresh on the palate, with beautiful purity, a polished texture, and ripe tannin, this Chateauneuf-du-Pape look alike benefits from a decant, and should have upwards of a decade of prime drinking. A crazy value, this is a no brainer case purchase."~Jeb Dunnuck

Robert Parker 90
"The 2010 Cotes du Rhone Reserve (a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Cinsault, with nearly 10,000 cases imported) is outstanding. Dense purple, with notes of roasted meats, black raspberries, blackberries, licorice and lavender, this wine is just terrific. Medium to full-bodied, rich and certainly far deeper and more concentrated than one has any reason to expect from a wine that sells for $15 (the taste is more like one for $35 to $50), this is a winner that will drink well for 4-5 years."

Domaine Grand Veneur EstateThe Domaine was founded by Mathieu Jaume in 1826. Alain Jaume now runs the Domaine with the help of his two sons Sébastien and Christophe. The estate is located in the commune of Orange and consists of 75 hectares. It covers four different appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages, Côtes-du-Rhône and Lirac. As of 2012 the estate is certified organic. "Grand Veneur is one of the most brilliant estates in Chateauneuf du Pape as well as the force behind the negociant wines sold under the Alain Jaume label. Virtually everything they produce has merit. I can't say enough about the job Alain Jaume's two sons, Sebastian and Christophe, have done with this estate. The impeccable attention to detail in the vineyards, the meticulous vinification, and the careful bottling benefit every consumer." ~ Robert Parker

A Bellweather Cotes Du Rhone

"There may be better offerings in this appellation, but few that can approach this level of value. It consistently provides an outstanding drinking experience, particularly if it is decanted for several hours prior to joining you for dinner.I have decanted this for up to four hours and have been well rewarded.I consistenly purchase this wine by the case."

Very good every day wine

"This CdR has proven an excellent dinner wine. It is a touch soft - not quite as acidic as I'd like, but I keep it at a proper temperature and enjoy it. It may be a little too creamy if it was served at room temp."

Marc

A very solid QPR CDR!

"Dark berries, medium bodied, and a slight minerality all resulting in a very nice, modern CDR. Would buy again and recommend."
