"Characteristic of the appellation and 2016 vintage, this Cabernet offers aromas of blackberry, red plum and floral notes intermixed with touches of forest floor. The addition of Syrah leads to a full and rich texture on the mid-palate, further accented by bright minerality from the Petit Verdot, sweet red cherry from the Merlot and luscious blueberry notes supplied by the Malbec. The soft and supple mouthfeel is supported by the complexity of sweet oak tannins and a hint of anise, finishing with the juicy acidity that is characteristic of Horse Heaven Hills."

Horse Heaven Hills--this remote corner of the world is the birthplace of many prestigious, award-winning wines. Since the AVA was established in 2005, it has received increasing renown as a distinguished Cabernet Sauvignon-producing region.
In 2005, the site for Double Canyon Vineyard was selected with the goal of creating estate-grown wines with complexity and distinction. We planted 90 acres of vines on our property in the heart of the appellation to Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Malbec Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc in 2007.
Double Canyon, named for two ravines that run through the property, produces estate-grown wines that express the individuality of the vineyard in this distinctive windswept, desert appellation. Our extraordinary parcel of land enables us to produce wines of exceptional quality, vintage after vintage.
